NOMART has silkscreened the artwork based on Ikegami's charcoal drawing series, which was based on the theme of capturing a person's life energy as interpreted through palm massage.
In order to express the weightiness of the original painting and the texture of the charcoal, black ink was printed in three different shades. The printer's meticulous work to give form to the impression has resulted in a work that exudes the charm of silkscreen printing. The set of eight pieces is set in an original envelope.

From Director Satoshi Hayashi's notes (Winter 2024)

Ikegami's Shiatsu Drawing. He massages the palms of the hands and interprets the person's life. Then he draws the impression on the charcoal paper, painted with black charcoal, as if searching for light with his fingers. It feels as if life has been copied. The drawn palms are full of power. I once worked on silkscreen printing calligraphy written by Cai Guo-Qiang and a qigong master, and turning it into a book. It was a Chinese poem about the body and Chinese herbal medicine throughout the year, and it became a work called Life Calendar. At that time, Cai said that the power of this calligraphy will never disappear no matter how it is reproduced. I want to turn Ikegami's drawing this time into a silkscreen print, keeping that power.
Keiichi Ikegami's print collection "Life in the Palm". 8 pieces, 300 x 195 mm, 60 sets. These will be talismans of life.
