"Hideki Kimura: Project Periods 2015 - 2018" is a project that presents a series of Hideki Kimura's past, present, and future work. The project was held seven times at Gallery Nomart over a period of four years, each time presenting new prints in accordance with the theme of the exhibition. A total of 10 new prints were produced and exhibited.
"Purple Splash" was created by combining colors and new fragments, which were not explored at the time, with the work of reconstructing "fragments" of various images in the picture plane, which became prominent in his works in the mid-1980s. The work was completed as a bold and innovative work with the characteristic use of splashes.
This work was presented at the third exhibition of the project, "Period 3: Fragments.
